Alpacas in Texas, Texas Alpacas

It is hard to believe over a year has gone by since our move to Texas from Colorado. After boarding our alpacas for four years, it was great to get the whole "family" together. It's been an exciting time, not without challenges, but the rewards have been greater. Caring for alpacas is a combination of joy and worry; worry about whether we are doing everything right and joy because they are just the sweetest animals on the planet, next to dogs of course.

Although we miss Colorado and especially all our friends, Texas is a friendly, beautiful place where people just reach out to you with offers of help and a friendly hello. Since settling in Blanco we have come to love the charm and beauty of this area and all the history associated with the Texas Hill Country. What we admire is the respect and pride that Texans have for the great history of the area and throughout the state and it is brought out in all the creative talents of the people.
